Mr. Tigran Davtyan, Director-General of the Armenian Development Agency (ADA)
Armenian Development Agency's (ADA) Director-General Tigran Davtyan was born on June 4, 1961 in Yerevan, Armenia.
He graduated from Moscow State University, Department of Economics and has attended numerous professional post-graduated courses abroad.
After 3-year working experience in one of the major industrial companies (1984-1987) in Yerevan, he has entered into professional civil servant career and has moved up through all the levels of the governmental structures starting from senior economist to the key positions in governmental central economic bodies (1987-2007) being in charge of Deputy Minister of Trade and Economic Development from 2000 till 2007.
During his two-decade tenure in Armenian Government he made significant contribution into formulation and iimplementation of the country’s foreign economic, trade and investment policies, as well as coordination of European iintegration and IT development activities. Among his notable professional achievements was Armenian successful accession to the World Trade Organization in 2003, where he was acting as a chief negotiator of Armenian delegation.
Being in charge as a Deputy Minister of Trade and Economic Development, Tigran Davtyan was prized a state award, A.Shirakaci medal, by President’s Decree in 2005.
Tigran Davtyan was appointed Director-General of Armenian Development Agency (ADA) in September 2007 by the Prime-Minister’s Decree. Currently among his direct responsibilities are managing ADA's activities on export promotion, iinvestment attraction, business environment improvement and IT development.
