Mr. Robert Harutyunyan, General Director of ADA hosted the Austrian delegation today. The delegation members were Mr. Heinz Walter, the regional Director of Austrian Federal Economic Trade Chamber in CIS, Mr. Georg Krauchenberg, Austrian Federal Economic Chamber, Mr. Dietmar Fellner, Austrian trade Councilor to Russia and CIS countries.

The business delegation arrived from Iran for a one week visit. The Delegation was headed by the honorable president of Armenia-Iran Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Levon Aharonian. Within the framework of visit of Iranian Delegation, ADA organized a business forum where the Iranians businessmen, 83 companies and 108 businessmen representng various industrial sectors participated at the forum.

ITDSC session took place on June 1st chaired by council chairman, prime minister Mr. Tigran Sargsyan. The assignments performance report was presented to the council members and other issues included in the agenda were discussed. The organizational issues and proposals on "Armtech 2010" were discussed.

The two day seminar started today in ADA organized by USAID along with ADA's cooperation. USAID agreed to support the trade map, market access map and investment map elaboration activities in Yerevan in the framework of cooperation with International Trade Center and CAPS, the purpose of which is to improve the accessibility of trade information and develop the competencies of information application in Armenia.

Armenian Russian Business Forum took place on May 20th, organized by ADA along with the Chamber of Commerce of Armenia.The official and business delegation arrived from Orenburg region headed by the vice president of Orenburg government. The mayor of Novotroitsk, Mr. Velikanov and the president of Armenian Cultural foundation “ Teryan” Mr. Viktor Ohannesian in Orenburg were among the delegation members.

Armenia-Czech Business forum took place on May 17, organized by ADA along with the Union of Manufacturers and Businessmen of Armenia. The Business Forum was held in the framework of Czech’s prime minister, Mr. Jan Fischer’s official visit to Armenia.

Shanghai Expo 2010 will launch on May 1st. The theme of the expo is “ Better City, better life”. The selection of the theme is continuation of the 154 year old tradition of world expos, when the themes always reflect the specific historical era of the humanity’s interest.

ADA organized Armenia-Turkmenistan business forum within the framework of Armenia-Turkmenistan Inter-Governmental Commission on Economical Cooperation on April 7-8th, 2010. Exhibition-trade fair of Armenian and Turkmen goods as well as business forum took place which will promote the development of the bilateral trade-economic relations as well as increase the trade volume.

ADA along with the Swedish Governmental Agency Open Trade Gate organized seminar on "How to Export to Sweden". At the seminar, Swedish Ambassador for Trade and Investment Promotion, Mr. Lars Owe Persson and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Armenia to Sweden, Mr. Ara Ayvazyan were present at the seminar.

ADA organized an Armenia-Slovakia business forum on March 18th in the framework of an official visit of Minister of Foreign Affairs of Slovakia, Mr. Miroslav Laycak to the Republic of Armenia. The two foreign ministers of the countries had the opening speeches during the forum. The Slovak ambassador to the Republic of Armenia had the welcome speech.

The Business Support Council session took place on March 10th, 2010 chaired by council chairman, Prime Minister Mr. Tigran Sargsyan.The Council Secretary, Mr. R. Harutyunyan presented the previous assignments performance report. The issues raised between “Didas International”, CJSC and State Revenue Committee were discussed. It was assigned to discuss all the matters once again in the future with the interested parties.

Council Session of Armenian Development Agency took place on March 3, 2010 chaired by the Prime Minister Mr. Tigran Sargsyan. Some issues оn the agenda were discussed during the session. ADA’s Reforms Conception was presented and approved. The General Director of ADA presented ADA’s 2009 annual report to the Council members, particularly noting that the Agency implemented the project preparation, potential investors research and the negotiations with them, information and organizational assistance as well as servicing to the investors.
